Peppertree Racing update

July 25, 2018

Many in our young and talented racing team have been enjoying a well-earned break of late; taking some time off during the coldest months of the year in order to be ready for action come Spring.

Zippy Mississippi (NZ – Zed / Penelope Pitstop) had her first start on July 15 with an encouraging performance

Tormenta (Husson / Coming Storm) is just starting out in her career and we look forward to seeing her grow and develop in the coming months.

Calabash Express (Excites / Unflappable) is regaining his strength following his Autumn starts and will be back in action towards Christmas.

The anticipated star of the stables come Spring is Versifier, a 2-year old colt out of champion, Poet’s Voice.  Bred by Dr Paul Craddock, Versifier is the most delightful horse that Marty has ever trained.  We can’t wait to see how he continues to grow and where his career will take him.

We’re also delighted to say that Ergo (Choisir / Stormy Cugat) is taking to his new life after racing with gusto.  Ergo joined our equestrian team at his first showjumping competition at SSJC on July 15.  It’s so great to see our Thoroughbreds going on to enjoy great new roles upon racing retirement.
